Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Mike Wazowski Pinatas (Close-Up)

This easter egg can be seen in all versions of the movie.

Very early on in the movie when Miguel is running on his way to school we see him slap the leg of a hanging skeleton before running towards the statue of Ernesto de la Cruz. While Miguel is running he narrates, “I know, I’m not supposed to love music…”, at which point you can see a group of pinatas hanging from a column on the right side of the street.

These Pixar themed pinatas are made to resemble Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story and Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc. There are 3 Woody pinatas, 3 Buzz Lightyear Pinatas and 2 Mike Wazowski pinatas in all.
