Sumatran Rat-Monkey Reference
This easter egg can be seen in all versions of the movie.
Description
In the scene where Tintin meets Captain Haddock, Snowy jumps through the window and lands on the table, waking and frightening the Captain. Haddock jumps up and yells, “A giant rat of Sumatra!”
This is a reference to executive producer Peter Jackson’s movie, “Braindead” where Sumatran Rat-Monkeys found on Skull Island (King Kong) carry a deadly disease which can turn a human into a zombie if they’re bitten.
