    • Two of the main characters names are based on real people. Ted Wiggins, the boy who goes to see the Once-ler about trees, and Audrey, the girl that Ted loves and wants to get the tree for.

      In real life, Dr. Seuss' real name Is Theodor Seuss "Ted" Geisel, and Audrey Geisel is his second wife. Audrey has also produced a few movies, one being Horton Hears A Who (based on the Dr. Seuss book) and The Lorax.
